Do these videos pass authority / juice back to your site?

Hello,

I was wondering whether or not UNLISTED - but NOT private YouTube videos pass authority (juice) back to the site they are featured on. If you have an unlisted, but not private YouTube video featured on your blog site (from your YouTube Channel with great YouTube Optimization) do you get that authority juice? Thanks!

As long as it can be crawled and indexed by Google it will pass on authority through any follow links that show up. It's a really weak link though.

Thank you for your reply. I guess my follow-up question would be; are unlisted YouTube videos able to be crawled and indexed by Google?

I am going to say no ... unlisted videos are not indexed by Google ... Look at this example source code from one of my unlisted videos pages ...

        <title>GTP VIDEO WITH INTRO - YouTube</title><link rel="canonical" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVFPg"><link rel="alternate" media="handheld" href="https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CV"><link rel="alternate" media="only screen and (max-width: 640px)" href="https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CVFHekDSAPg"><meta name="robots" content="noindex"> <meta name="title" content="GTP VIDEO WITH INTRO">

That noindex tag shuts it down ... and that same tag disappears on public video pages so I think this is pretty clear.
