thebesthosting.org made my site disappear from the SERPS and get no data in Google Analytics

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can lead me in the right direction. I've also posted this question to google as well.

I had a website set up for about 2 months using a Wordpress blog with my own hosting account setup on hostgator. I have All in on SEO, ultimate analytics, no ping wait, popshops, and akismet plugins on the site, they're all updated to the latest versions, and I also am running the latest wordpress update.

I was getting about 10 unique visitors a day to the website that I had set up and this was with only one article submission pointing back to my site.

Suddenly 3 days ago my website gets about 20 hits in google and my adsense ads had been clicked on about 10 times, this had never happened before. The next day my website appeared to have vanished out of the SERPS. I have tried to find it using allintitle:, site: as well as the other ways you can check for your website.

I have registered the site in google webmaster tools and my site is showing there and for several (10) keywords I should be appearing on the first page of the SERPS. However when I do a search for these keywords, even with quotation marks around the words my site doesn't appear at all.

I know that the problem is coming from thebesthosting.org because that's the only referrer showing up in analytics for all of my websites which saw a sudden increase in traffic 3 days ago. My other websites have nothing on them and they received clicks not from the SERPS but from the referring website thebesthosting.org.

My website which no longer appears in the SERPS also LOST visitors. I had gotten 319 visitors up until Saturday. Today my website is showing I received 297 visitors. The visitors I lost seemed to have gone to my other websites that I have in my Analytics accounts.

I'm hoping someone can help me solve this issue. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and give me some advice perhaps?

P.S.
All of the websites in question were purchased from godaddy.com at the same time. Don't know if that helps but just wanted to put it out there.

My website is 2 and a half years old. My host is Network Solutions. Twice within the past two months I had days that I received 15 or so hits from "thebesthosting.org", avg time on site was 00:00:00, bounce rate was 44% (strange in itself :confused, pages per visit 1.56. I don't seem to have had any "clicks" from those visits. Maybe your "clicks" came from another visitor...and for some reason Google didn't like those. Anyway, I can't help much, just sharing my information.

I've also experienced this. On August 30, 2009 I got a visit from thebesthosting.org originating in Pelotas, Brazil. They made 10 visits, looked at 1.40 pages/per visit and spent >00:00:00 on my site. I've never had a visit register as ">" and the next day my traffic went down for days after the unwanted visit. Then I got a visit today from Barueri, Brazil. This time they made 8 visits, looked at 2.62 pages/visit and spent 00:00:01 on the site. They've got to be using Black Hat SEO tactics. My SE traffic has been down for about a week now and this didn't help. I consider their "visits" to be attacks. I have a blogger blog but I own my domain name which is now 2 years and 3 months old as of today. I don't trust them. I put in a Google search for thebesthosting.org and I'm going around to various sites to get information about them. I want them shut down. I want IP blocker software to keep unscrupulous trolls such as them off my site. Fortunately I haven't been click bombed and my site does show up in the SE (if I do a name search) but my SE traffic is way down.

Same here, one of my sites shows in Analytics hits from this website. When I checked it out it's a parked page or something. I'm a bit worried about getting clicked from these guys...

    • Same thing happened to me. Does anyone now how to get their IP address so I can block them?

  • They're IP address is 72.232.230.157. I blocked them from my site. I read in another forum that they're bombing our sites so that we visit their site and increase their traffic. Looks like they're trying to sell their domain name.

How do you block them? I own my domain name but I use Blogger software. I've been looking for IP blocking software that is compatible with blogger but I haven't found anything.
