We have been regularly using all the relevant link building for increasing the ranking of the website since a long time. However, it has not maintained its rank and since last week it has dropped considerably with every day. Could you advise if there is any latest major Google update or any other reason due to which this is going on. Thanks!

That can happen for many reasons.
may be the content is poor
may be you are not getting quality backlinks
may be you are doing all the activities in access
may be you are not using relevant meta tags

Please be more specific or share you website url for proper analysis and recommendation.

If your ranking has been dropped , then you can do the followings :
    1.You’re tracking the wrong rankings.
    2.The Google “dance”
    3.New website
    4.New website no longer
    5.Low quality links.
    6. Losing good links
    7.Bad hosting.
    8.Incorrect robots.txt file
    9.Competitors.

Google update, they did not inform but they remove spam and form of spam. That why some websites drop their ranking. The website with quality backlinks from authority site will be on top.

This is hard to say without Google Analytics data. There are many possible reasons you need to count.

Did you add SSL? Are you sure all the links you built were relevant? Were those panda safe? Analyze your Analytics data and you may find the correct reasons. Thanks :-)

I would suggest you to turn to other sources of traffic than Google. After long research and experience on SEO, I can tell you that the money you spend for on and off page optimization would get you multiple times more traffic if you spent them to get visitors through advertising.

    So, consider turning there...

    Hello

Last week since Friday, there has been a Google shift in the rankings which is common now (every 10-14 days) since the Google penguin 4.0 real time update. Now, what it does is updates it's algorithm every 2 weeks approx. regarding the spam filter, so if your website has spam/low quality links, then you will hit and will keep on dropping.

Google just made another update last week, I'd have to double check my stats but I believe it was one week ago today.

From the looks of it on my end it seems they targeted low quality private blog networks, and thus paid link vendors as well.

In my experience the sites in which I had links removed via a link removal service saw the nicest spike in rankings. I did try some sites with disavow only and saw either no change or a loss in rankings on those. Granted the profiles on each of my sites aren't the same but the quality of the sites are very similar.

I'd say look into your current link profile over anything else.

I think the 2 major reasons is Google dance and bad backlinks, you need to review again your backlinks in the past 2 week and then disavow them.
