Sudden Spike In Traffic After Installing AMP - Anyone Experienced This?

I recently installed AMP on my website, and within just 24 to 48 hours my daily traffic increased from the 2300s to 3100, but when I started placing ads on my AMP site there were a few javascript errors and they all started getting deindexed, and after removing all the javascript codes Google took nearly 2 weeks to reindex all my AMP pages, and again my traffic spiked to 3251 the very next day!
I don't see any major changes in SERPs, so I'm currently unsure what resulted in this spike. Does this happen to everyone once they install AMP? Or have I done some mistake while placing my Google Analytics code in the AMP plugin?
