Steady decline since November last year

Hi fellow warriors

what can cause a steady decline in traffic that started somewhere in mid November 2016?

I started my website at august 2014 and reached ~40K visits/month
added a post every week and did not change anything dramatic in my site.

last November something started changing and I see a steady decline in traffic.
was there some change in google algorithm that you think can cause this?

my site is responsive and works well on mobile devices so I dont believe its related to mobile ranking.

      I cant implement AMP as I have a js on top of my pages that acts as a search form.
      my theme is responsive.

      any advice or best practices to implement?

    Actually yes there has been steadily google algorithm changes. I have had similar issues on one particular website and mine actually started on january 22 of 2017. Where "FRED" which is one of the last google updates were implemented. Since has been a steady decline which i was able to PIN POINT. FRED was actually put into full effect i believe on March 18 of 2017. But they began implementation of the update back in january. This update actually targets PBN and POOR quality content in which links from within are pointing to my site or your site. This update simply discredits these links there fore if you have a few particular keywords which are ranking in TOP positions and bringing you traffic , And these keywords are depending on the links from PBN with poor quality content..Then your keywords will drop down. This is a particular cause for loss of traffic.

    You can goto Google webmasters account to find out if you have been penalized or obtained MANUAL actions against you. This will allow you to begin building back your property to get back some of that traffic you lost.
    If you do have a penalty or manual actions against you then nothing will work in regards to getting your rankings back..]

      Hi
      I dont think this is the case as I did bot use PBN to link to my site.
      I also did not see any manual action in my GWT account.

      I dont have many back links, this is something I find very hard to obtain
