Website Title

Hello all,

I've just noticed that my home page title is completely different to my other page titles in Google, my home page shows like this "TGF Security: Home" and my other pages show like this "Services | TGF Security" and I would like the home page the same for example "Home | TGF Security" but i'm trying to work out if its a problem with my website or if Google hasn't updated the page title yet. When I click on the home page and hover over the page tab at the top of the page, it is the correct page title so does that mean I need to wait for Google to update it in the search results? or could it be something else?

    It can take some time to update Google's database.

        As you say it looks ok when you hover over the tab, and the title is specified correctly in the source code - you`ve definitely changed it properly, so simply wait a bit for Google to re-index your page, then it`ll show the updated title as well. The changes are just not being fetched real-time. Give it several more days.

    Normally, it will take few hours or 1-2 days for google to index your site title. You don't need to do anything, just wait. Make sure that you have submitted your url in search console.

    Its normal to Google to take time in terms of update and this is due to billions of websites around the world. Its better to focus on your target audience for the improvement of the site.
