Hi fellow warriors,

I wrote a blogpost with the keyword: testosteron, is has monthly 10-100k search and the competition is low. I wrote the blogpost around this keyword. And included a lot of LSI keywords in the beginning of the post. I was wondering if this is the right way to do it?
Or do i need to specify for instance as keyword in yoast: how to increase testosterone

Thanks in advance!

First of all, the number of times a keyword should be mentioned on a page depends on the length of the content - it's about density, not count. Second, Google doesn't spam. Third, competition can be deceiving. It's best to not stick to one-word keywords even if they show low competition. Use long tail keywords for better results.

Google's Keyword Planner only shows the amount of competition for PAID ads. It does not tell you what the competition is for organic search.

    That keyword is useless.
    • Zero user intent.
    • Unnecessary competition.
    • Unnecessary time/expense.

Uhm what do you mean with those terms?
Zero user intent? I run a supplement company so it seems a relevant keyword for my business.

      Unnecessary competition ??

Trust me, you're wasting your time and money with a keyword like testosterone.

There's absolutely no intent for that keyword, it could go off in a million directions. If you don't believe me, search the keyword on Google. Random niche subjects.

I also guarantee you're not out ranking WebMD. Even If you could outrank WebMD (not happening) there's no buyer intent so what's the point?

No offense but you need to learn better keyword research and until you do you'll just be wasting time and money.

Testosterone is such a broad keyword, and I agree with some other users that it is not a good one. I just ran a google search on testosterone, and 0 advertisers are advertising on that keyword! 0!!. That means that there is 0 money in that keyword if that is what you are ultimately after. And did you get the competition level from google kw planner? hopefully not

You have to do a lot more than just write a post using that keyoword a few times to rank for such a competitive term. I wouldn't expect your page to even crack the top 100 without some seriously good links.

    Ignore this crap.

Google Keyword Planner only gives the competition among AdWords advertisers. It has nothing to do with ranking a keyword.

keywords used definitely affect your rank in SERPs. Keywords which are used by the common users frequently should be used in our blogs. So, that easily we can get an amazing rank.
And if we talk about Low-competition regarding this keyword, our rank can be increased on the basis of authenticity of our blog and its views.
