    Also try the following searches for likely do-follow wordpress commenting plugins:

    * CommentLuv -

    Search Phrase: niche keywords "Enable CommentLuv which will try and parse your last blog post"

    * Top Commenter -

    Search Phrase: niche keywords "Top Commenters"
    Search Phrase: niche keywords "Top Commenter"

    As of today, the large portion of the sites using these are dofollow, though that may change with future updates.

    If you use Firefox, there's a neat little addon called Nodofollow

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5687

    It highlights links in a page that are dofollow, so you can see if blog comments links dofollow or not.

    Good one Audrey. I like that tool.

    What you can do, Raul, is to use my and madison_ave's techniques, both versions of "Finding dofollow badges/markers" along with Audrey's.

    First search for the dofollow badge/marker in google or any other search engine, using firefox.
    Next, open up all the resulting blog links in their own tabs.
    Finally, check whether each newly opened link is a dofollow page or not in the firefox tool Audrey mentioned.

    Peace, NItT

      I personally dont worry if the blog is a no follow or a do follow. Mainly because I feel that a link is a link. Here is what I have learned in my short time here.

      Only leave comments on blogs where your comment migh leave context to the blog post. This will give you creditability when it comes to the niche. Others will read your post and then hopefully click your link and visit your site. That really is the plan, at least its mine.

    When I am checking out my competitions backlinks I keep a list of juicy sites like dofollow blogs... if you do this often you'll have a list longer then you know what to do with. sort them out according to their quality and you've got a great little list that always comes in handy.

    Type in viagra or another hot spammy topic in google and follow those guys backlinks, you'll be in spammer heaven. I try to avoid the extremely spammed out sites but they come in handy as backlinks for my backlinks.

    It's all about thinking outside of the box to find these little treasures. I spent part of last weekend going through old abandoned blogger blogs. Those 3 year old pr 2-4 forgotten blogs are a goldmine for quick and easy backlinks when you need them.

    If you're after quality backlinks you'll have to work for it.

    Aside from that, get the seobook or seoquake firefox toolbars and they'll let you know what sites are do or nofollow when you visit them. Spend an afternoon looking at blogs and keep a list of the ones you like and post responsibly... ie, the nickname 'discount ipods' will probably get your comment trashed where ipod boy might make the cut.
