Always doubt if it's better to go for the plural word with the s or not.

Dream or dreams
book or books
guide or guides

What's the solution ?

I tend to go for plural as it contains the singular within it. If not, check the Google keyword tool to see which gets searched the most.

For backlinks you should be using both anyway to make them look as natural as possible

I think you should see what your target market is looking for, and then do keyword research to see which one has a higher search volume. Then I would think about why someone would search for say "boat" as opposed to "boats". This will give you some inclination as to how to target your market.

If you where selling a "boat" then this would be the keyword to use, but on the other hand if you worked for a boat dealer and had many models of boats you would use "boats" instead.

      Thanks,

My doubt is, if I search without the S, I get as well the plural optimized pages as Google result at front page

I think I maybe make this too complicated.

      Results are as following

      searches in quotes intitle
      Plural 60.500 133.000 15600
      Singular 33.100 140.000 6.900

Yes, stiff competition but first page results are beatable over time.

I think I will go with the singular, though in plural there are many optimized pages to find.

      Right ?
