Tracking Paid vs. Organic Search

I have an e-mail link on my website, and I'd like to know how many times it's clicked as a result of Adwords traffic versus how many times it's clicked as a result of organic search traffic. Can I get that via Google Analytics (and if so how?), or are there better tools for that?

Any other good options, in addition to Prosper202?

I'd actually advise against having your email in a clickable format on your webpage - that's just asking to be spammed.

Instead what I would do is create a simple contact form on your site where people can fill in their email to you then and there.

The benefit of this is that you don't expose your real email address AND you can also track clicks through to the contact page very easily.

    Hope this helps,

How do you track clicks using the contact page?

There are lots of different ways you can do this.

If you're just looking to track clicks from your homepage to your contact page you can use pretty much any tracking script.

One that I use for my sites is Adtrackz

You can probably even do it with Google Analytics which is free - one of the features is that it will show you how many times a page has been visited and also the page the user came from to get there.
