Grammar does matter for SEO - especially if Google does a manual site review. It also matters to site visitors. Just because someone can understand what it is that you are trying to convey does not mean that they trust a website with poor grammar as much as they trust one that is grammatically correct.

  • Yes, go for it.

Google does not penalize you for bad grammar.

While Google has stated that spelling and grammar are not currently parts of their algorithm, they do say that quality matters and that the sites that rank at the top tend to have much better spelling and grammar than sites at the bottom of the rankings.

That is likely not a coincidence. There are other user metrics such as dwell time that ARE a part of their algorithm and they are constantly adding more tweaks to their algorithm and evaluating more user signals to help them determine the quality of pages.

Ask yourself this ... Would you spend as much time reading pages that are poorly written as you would reading well written pages? If your answer is "no", you are going to pogo-stick to other search results where you may find a site that is better written, causing you to spend more time on that site (a.k.a. dwell time).

Bottom Line: grammar may not be a direct part of their algorithm but poor grammar can affect user behavior, which IS a part of their algorithm.

I believe grammar matters in general because you want to offer something of value to your visitors in hopes of conversions or return visits. Then again, I have seen poor grammar rank quite well too lol.

I do not think that grammar influences on search engines however it influences on how your website will appear in search. Moreover, your readers will leave the website if there are too many mistakes and this definitely does not positively influence on website. I guess you can find an editor or proofreader for your blog. And it would not cost you much

    Short answer... yes.

Even if Gooogle can pick you up, poor grammar and spelling will hurt your user engagement. People won't trust you or your site and won't stick around - and a part of SEO is user metrics like time on page, scroll depth, etc.

What I would do is write the post, then hire a human editor from People per hour, Fiverr, or Upwork to give it a go over and fix your errors. They're not expensive and it will be well worth it.

Sometimes misspelling commonly misspelled words yields big awesome results in google search.

I always see misspelled words ranked high.
