How Good is Google at Analyzing Images?

Say you have a image of an apple but you have used the word banana as the meta tag or the alternative text.

Does Google know this is wrong?

    It's tough to say for sure. Google supposedly has image recognition capabilities but they are not nearly as advanced as they aspire to be. I'm guessing for something as simple as that, they very well might be able to detect it by image. There's a great article about that subject here. Keep in mind this article is about 4 years old. I'm sure their algorithm is even better now.

    Well google cannot see images it read it based on meta tag .And for example if you have an article about apples and in images read banana then it get confuse .It says well this its an apple article and this author put banana images ,this its not good
