Google isn't giving value to links "easy to get". Google gives value to every link which seems to be natural.

Directory submission is the old trick for getting the backlinks. But the thing is this submission takes time for giving backlink. It almost takes 2-3 months for approving the Link. And you will get result after long time waiting. But that link will be quality link.
