If my Yoast SEO is on point, does that mean the rest of my SEO is good?

Yoast is great, but it doesn't check everything.

For most low to medium competitive niches Yoast will be fine. Just make sure you are writing great long form content, that is better than any of your competitors, and that Yoast is giving you as many green dots at possible, and your 80% of the way to success.

To compete in touch industries, you could explore others tools that might give you a bit of an extra edge. Eg you could look into what keywords your competitors are targeting, and who is linking to them, then replicate this on your own website.

yoast is good to make the articlesor posts YOU make as best suitable for search engines as possible.thats the green

but you are the person who decides the keywords and subject and everything

so after you decided all that and start writing a post , then yoast will guide you how to make that article or post seo optimized

Is there an algorithm tool that is successful which will help me choose my keywords and guide my topics based on SEO and potential viewership factors?

If you have post/pages you want to rank. make use of inner links. Both, links inside another article on your site and navigational links. So if you have a post like producelove.co/rank-this, you can place a navigation link on the sidebar and homepage.

For inner links inside content should be relevant, and pointing mostly to important pages/post such as "money pages" where you monetized content.

Also, you should do a google search of site:yourwebsite.com and see all your index pages. You want to remove pages that are making duplicate issues such as tags and pages that should not have been indexed. Once you find those pages, copy the URL and enter them in WMT>Remove Urls...

Regarding followers, I don't know as I have no time reading your content. And it should be up to you if you feel your site should have followers. But importantly, you should increase visitors first.

Yoast is best ready to use tool but not SEO guide, it has SEO standards but you have to optimize meta's your own, choosing right keywords.

In my experience, if you get a perfect yoast score Google will probably see it as over optimization resulting in longer time to rank, and small ranking suppressions. I usually try and vary the keywords in a few places to avoid ranking issues. Don't over cook it, and write for people not search engines.

Here are some good tips:

1. Write an attention grabbing meta title & headline - The better your Meta & headlines, the faster you will climb. These are the 2 main things that will get users on your page, and keep them there.

2. Break your content up using grease-slides - Having short, easy to digest paragraphs broken up using grease slides will keep a user on page for much longer, giving you more positive signals in Google, and increasing the chance of people liking and linking to your page.

3. Use 'Vector' or LSI keywords in the copy - This will show Google your content is super relevant to the search, and far more advanced than just adding the keyword to meta and H1's etc.
