So my new job involves working with SEO friendly websites.

I am just wondering if anyone has any tips as to how I would find out how SEO friendly a certain website is?

I know that the likes of BBC, Bloomberg, WSJ, etc are all very good for SEO purposes.

But what other things should I look out for?

Actually, those sites are not really all that SEO friendly.

How did you get this job?

Basically, I work with a sports site and it is my job to find news websites that accept affiliate links in articles. So i write articles that are relevant to the news site that I am writing for but each of my articles contains an affiliate link to the sports site that I work for.

Iain, I'd consider using Google Trends to identify what search terms have been popular recently. Using a popular search term like Kyrie Irving, if relevant, could help your article rank. https://trends.google.com/trends/

Also, once you've build a new page (new article), fetch it in Google Search Console to boost it's presence.

The Unexplained Mystery into SEO Uncovered
Understand that SEO is the process of generating organic traffic to a website. This can be much more broad than just a search engine. This includes one of the biggest free traffic sources that is widely available: Social Media.

    1. Start By deciding what niche (business category your business falls into. For Example Health and Fitness

    2. Jump onto Social Media and join the top three groups about your niche. For example a group about running or exercise.

    3. Write a post that has value to the people in the group. Basically, if you are in a group about exercise, post information about a quick and easy way to lose weight. The value part simply means that the post should provide information that user can benefit from. (.pdf reports of weight losss)

    4. At the bottom of the post place an attribute and a website link.
    Writen by: (Write Your Name)
Checkout the Latest Here: (Your Website URL)

Tip: Use google url shortener to shrink and track your url. This will allow you to keep a record of how many clicks your link receives.
