Need help for sitemap.xml file

Hello All,

I have a website candidatezip.com and one other website is connected to that website which is hosted on another server http://app.candidatezip.com. I have one sitemap for first with the name of sitemap.xml which contains 8 pages and google_siteamp.xml for another with hundreds of pages. Can I rename second sitemap file with sitemap.xml as it would get indexed by search engine? or suggest me any way out to make it readable.

    Unless you have a lot of orphaned webpages (pages that are not linked to from anywhere else), you really do not need a sitemap.

      But I want to get those hundreds of pages indexed quickly. What would be the way out?

    Thanks for the solution. But could you please help me in setting up sitemap file? For this case, I agree that the website does not have orphaned webpages but it would be beneficial to know these kinds of issues for future as well.
