Traffic in subdomain counts as website traffic and helps in ranking?

Hi,

Our sub domain pages are ranking for our brand related queries as we don't have enough landing pages in main website. So these sub domain pages are taking away lots of traffic. So I just wonder if all this traffic is really helping our main website or not in rankings. Can we create landing pages for these queries, so our website pages will rank instead of sub domains and traffic will be increased. This will help us or not. Our primary goal is to increase main website rankings.

    First of all traffic doesn't impact rankings in anyway and sub-domains are considered as separate domains so their ranking will not help the main site to get ranked better.

      Unless you link from the subdomain to the main domain, then you get some juice, your main domain pages will rank higher.
