domain authority transfer

hi every one i am Ahmed from Egypt i want ask about transfer domain authority

* i purchased expired domain with domain authority 38 page authority 1 this domain
domainname.pw for Palau country and i want transfer this domain authority to domainname.net
for another country (Egypt) and another language (arabic)
are this bad to use this for SEO or no problem?

    There is no way you can shift domain authority. Although you can just redirect the old domain to the new one through your hosting service.

    did you mean you redirect the new domain to the old .net one? and want to keep the domain authority on the old domain?

    You can do a 301 redirect, but there is no guarantee that Moz is going to transfer the DA from one domain to another.

    I wouldn't worry about it though. DA is not a ranking factor. Google and other search engines do not look at DA.

    As long as you looked at the link profile and it looked good, the 301 redirect will likely be beneficial. If you did not do that, and just bought the domain because it had a DA of 38, you made a mistake and the redirect won't matter.

    I changed my site name about 6 weeks ago using a 301 redirect, but still DA and PA has not been transferred.

      Moz has not as much bigger indexing system as Google. So they may take even months to update your website scores after 301 redirect.

    What I know from 301 redirects is, it passes the link juice from old link to new link and hence is the best way for redirection. In SEO we call it as a Permanent redirection.
    It passes human visitors, crawlers, as well as link juice without any affect to your new link.

    As some people have pointed out that they didn't got their DA scores updated, it may take months to Moz to index your new link in their database as they don't crawl websites frequently over internet like Google does. Definitely you will get your DA scores back as I have done same for my friend's blog previously.

      And also, since the juice passes from your old link to new link, it will restore your previous DA and PA scores but you will have to wait for some time.
