Keywords Research For Articles/Adwords Tactic
- SEO |
Wondered if you guys could help me, I'm really trying to get into article marketing as so many people on this forum seem to be doing well from it. I used wordtracker and other research tools to determine monthly searches before I wrote articles for the keywords.
However I found that I was getting little/no traffic from my articles being on page 1 on Google for keywords that wordtracker says gets a high amount of searches.
After discovering the inaccuracy of some keyword programs, I decided to research the competition on Google.com, and determine the exact amount of daily searches using Google Adwords before I write articles.
I decided to test keywords in Adwords with little/no competition (below 5000 results for keywords in "quotes").
However I found that my ad for these keywords were literally getting 0-4 searches per day. I cannot be bothered to write articles for such little traffic.
What kind of criteria do you guys use to make a keyword worthy of writing an article for? How much competition are you willing to compete against to get to page 1 via backlinking?
Maybe I should be more generous with the amount of competition per keyword that I am testing in my Adwords account in order to get keywords with higher searches that I can rank for?
All your help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Simon
