A cross linking can be defined as the bond that links one polymer to another. It is the chemical bond of one polymer chain to link two or more adjacent molecules for joining bigger molecules.. IT also refers to connect by the series of transverse links.

Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

As you can see, others have done what I suggested, Googling it and copy/pasting answers. None of them got the essence of it, though, which is what happens when you simply copy/paste the first coupe of sentences you find.

It is a link between two pages, regardless of the relationship of those pages to one another. It is an all encompassing term that nobody uses that could refer to same site links (internal links) or backlinks (links from another site).

I was going to say 'it's a chemical bond between Google and Facebook, as we revolve around them". But the real answer works too.

Cross Linking is the art of creating links within a website. In a very traditional layout you might have a home page and then to other pages (page A and page B). The home page would contain links to both.

Actually, that is internal linking, which is a subset of cross-linking. Not sure how much artistry is involved, either.

Wrong again. That is backlinking, another subset of crosslinking.
