This is another good question which I would also like to know. How should I be sure that my competitors are doing negative SEO or anything else to my website? I heard about some cases from my close friends about this even the stories about paying to the SEO experts in order to harm other websites. Is this really possible to that extension?

I have the same experience to one of my site,
this site has a good rank (top #5) on SERP for some keywords I targeted, but then the rank down and my site not found on page one even page 10.
When I check on the Google Webmaster, my site got hundred spammy links, most of them are from porn site.
I never create backlinks from such site.
I sure that my competiter did it, but I didn't know which one.

But luckily there is a disavow link feature from Google, after I disavow these bad links, my site back to top 5 within a week.

What is Negative SEO to you? What kind of Negative SEO is your competitor doing for you? How you found your competitor is doing Negative SEO for your site?

Negative SEO doesn't exist anymore as after penguin update Google is not concerned over Negative SEO anymore. Google now devalues web spam and doesn't demote it and now handling all of this by its own so If you don't want any of SEO thing to be in Google Database which you counting SPAM, simply disavow them.

Am I replying the same question by different OP again?

I highly doubt anyone is trying to do negative SEO to your site.

Exactly. The OP wouldn't even confirm how he or she knows it.

This is pretty simple. Do you have a warning in your Search Console account? If not, nothing having to do with bad links is hurting your site, regardless of whether you put them there or a competitor did it. Google's algorithm does not penalize for bad backlinks anymore; they just ignore them. A manual penalty could happen where actual human beings review your site and penalize it but you would know about that from Search Console.

Much more likely is the bad backlinks you have built over time have been discovered as bad links and they are now being ignored, causing your formerly artificially high rankings to get lowered to where they really belong.

I have the exact same issue. I keep disavowing but competitors keep building spammy links to my site and 1000s of them in just a couple of days. I am sick of disavowing them literally everyday.

Also my site is not ranking for anything apart from its domain name in Google search results anymore, have no idea why

As far as i have heard if the link is not having Dofollow it shouldnt be an issue.
