Hi,

I am looking for a browser plugin that will show me the allinurl and allintitle numbers for any keyword, just to save time. Is there any such tool?

I know there are one or two Windows-only applications that appear to do this but I am looking for a plugin or even just a web site.

Cheers,
Peter

Just curious... Knowing how many websites have a phrase in the URL or Title is completely useless data for anything to do with SEO. What are you using this for?

As a prelimiary filter looking for long tail keywords with low competition. I have not done SEO for a few years now so maybe my knowledge is out of date.

It never was in date. It was a dumb idea put out there by a few "gurus".

Here is why it is dumb.

If you do an allintitle search of two phrases and Phrase A returns 125,000 results and Phrase B returns 75,000 results, they would say that Phrase B is "easier to rank for". But what if the top 10 results for Phrase B all have much better link profiles and content than the top 10 sites ranking for Phrase A? Phrase B would actually be much tougher to rank for.

Short story, allintitle and allinurl searches tell you nothing about the competition on page one for a search term. If you can't outrank the pages on page one, the rest of the results really do not matter at all.

Makes sense. Thanks for setting me straight.
