Domain name and ipaddress of my website

When i open a web browser and typed my exact domain name like example.com every thing is fine my website is opening but when i typed my domain ipaddress in browser my website is not opening but saying some error.

I had a doubt that is this issue may reflect in my keyword rankings?

Note:
I am using shared hosting having multiple domains with same ipaddress.

    you need to perform IP Canonicalization so it will help browse to understand your IP and your domain name is one and the same...

    On share hosting, it is not possible because of IP canonicalization. You must have a dedicated IP address. If you don't have a dedicated IP address (such as a default shared hosting account), you must purchase one.

    You must have to go with VPS server were you can put dedicated ip to that domain which helps to open website through ip also and this will not reflect or get help on keyword ranking

    Shared hosting means you share your server with (maybe hundreds) of other domains. It also means you almost certainly share an ip address with many other domains.

    Therefore, if you just put an ip address in your browser it has no way of knowing which domain that refers to, hence no website found.

    That is perfectly normal and in no way effects your SEO.

    It's unlikely you need to connect to your domain using your IP address unless your domain expires or you move your domain to a new ip address and/or a new hosting, when for a short time the domain may not connect to your site until the new DNS settings propagate across the web.

    In these cases there is no public access to your website although you can still access cPanel via the ip address and the login supplied to you by your host.

    If for some reason you do require a unique ip address you can probably purchase that from your hosting supplier. That may require upgrade to a vps or similar.

    You can not use that function on Shared hosting. However, it doesn't hurt anything on your SEO ranking.

    On shared hosting you are using shared ip address which is used by multiple websites hosted on same server, if you want to browse domain/website using IP address, than simply contact your web hosting provider and purchase dedicated IP address for your hosting account, so that you can browse domain/website using IP address.
