Google : Domain extensions

Hi,

I have 2 questions if anyone can help:

1) Does it effect in ranking if domain extension is .io or .tech or .com? I mean, some says that .com is more effective than other new extensions?
2) What is right extension for startup in terms of Google rank? Is it .io or .tech for IT startup?

    Google has said numerous times that the TLD of your website has no influence at all on how well it ranks (except in the case of country-specific TLDs, which rank better in those countries). What you need to consider, however, is whether or not site visitors are going to remember the TLD. You certainly do not want to set up everythingseo.tech and have people remembering it as everythingseo.com. You'll constantly be sending people to a competitor because most people remember websites as .com, whether they are or are not .coms.
