Hi Everyone, I have a website about mobile price and specs ( link removed by mod ) It's been 9 months and I was successfully able to bring my website to the first page of google. Right now almost all of my keywords rank on page 1 or page 2 of google. I'm getting 300 visitors a day but the thing is there are too many keywords like more than 500 and I want each and every one of them on the top result of google. How do I bring a keyword from position 3,4,5,6,7 to position 1? Can anyone please suggest? I've been building links to the homepage and brand page for phones I've only been doing blog comments. Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks

To position your keywords on the first page of Google, you should first make sure to optimize the pages of your website (on page) for your targeted keywords. Once you have your pages optimized, you should build backlinks using your targeted keywords (as well as variations of those keywords) as anchor text. You should focus on building backlinks that are relevant to your niche, contextual (surrounded by text related to your niche/website), on high authority domains and/or pages, and dofollow. It is important to build a wide variety of links from different sources.

If you want to rank individual pages then you have to build links separately for them. And blog commenting isn't going to help if your trying to build links from them.

Try guest blogging in your niche related sites, or use customized PBN's.

Using niche specific backlinks will help you big time. However, if you have a lot of pages and keywords to rank, you might need on-page SEO with more than title tags and descriptions even if they are a good start.

Big e-commerce (hundreds or thousands of pages) usually have a big domain authority that helps to rank those pages but the name of their game is much more on-page SEO than link building because there are too many pages to optimize.

As expmrb said, blog commenting is not going to help you. In fact, it's amazing you rank as high as you do if that is all you have been doing. They must not be very competitive phrases at all.

You get real links that have power by creating something that other websites will WANT TO link to, not by trying to find weak places that you can spam with a link to your site.

I'm surprised blog commenting has taken you so far. As others in this thread have said, backlinks from niche-relevant high authority websites, via blogger out-reach or a successful content marketing strategy, will go a long way in helping you.

One good strategy would be to look at the top websites that rank for the keyword you are targetting and check their backlinks on AHref or other similar platform. See how many backlinks your competitors have and what websites they are linking to. Then target those sites to build you own backlinks. You will soon realise how many backlinks you'd need to get to position one for each keyword and know straight away whether it's worth it.

This comes up, often. so concentrate on competitors in those positions and note:
1- their keyword density on their pages.
2- traffic on this particular keyword
3- If you are at the top of competitive results you can bet Google will take a closer look at your site. so,check your website for compliance with google's recommendations
don't forget that there are rules when it comes to ranking in search engines

and as I see the content is pretty important for searching using voice in google for instance, so, optimize for VOICE SEARCH

Thanks for your awesome replies guys. For the On-page part my site is almost fully optimized. I've done the advanced On-Page SEO and the site is fast loading mobile friendly as well.

I'm targetting long tail keywords that have good search volume ranging between 10K-50K per keyword.
For the On-page part I've optimized and used the keyword and related keywords in

    1) Meta Title
    2) Meta Description
    3) Title
    4) H1, H2,H3 (includes related keywords)
    5) Image Alt tags and Image Title Tag
    7) High Authority (No-follow) Outbound links
    8) Internal Linking
    9) Keyword in Fist and Last paragraph and Used 2-3% Keyword Density + Related Keywords
    10) Included Optimized pictures
    11) Youtube video on every page.

For the backlinking part I've made some web 2.0s, expired web 2.0s, forum and profile backlinks as well.
I checked my competitor backlinks ad they're high authority sites like having DR 45+

Right now I'm building links on the specific keywords using related Anchor texts as google might penalize me for using Exact keyword as an anchor text. Lets see if I could rank number one on a specific keyword as I was building backlinks for the Home Page and Category Pages previously. I'll Update the results here. Thank You for helping me out.

#9 in your list is not really a factor - especially the part about keyword density. More important is the use of related phrases that Google might expect to see on the page.

Clearly, your weakness is in link building. Not one link type you have mentioned will help your site rank. If you can place the link, yourself, on somebody else's website, it is almost always a worthless link.

have you tried creating power pages as suggested by brian dean? meaning, articles that bloggers or website owners or other content creators would love to link to?

This will give your highly authoritative relevant backlinks to your page to rank very high on google.

Brian Dean has been using this to rank for highly competitive keywords for his blog.

You don't get to decide, the only one who decides whether your site is worthy of climbing up to the top positions or staying down is Google.
You should start analyzing what your competition is doing, check their backlinks profile and try to replicate it. That will be your smartest move by far.

You need to start building high authority backlinks on reputable sources. The harder the links are to get, the more value they will have. I am guessing you have been ranking for low competition keywords mostly and now want the high competition ones. For that you will need more competitive link building strategies.

Don't forget there are other aspects to RankBrain than links. A site's link equity can get them to page one, but if no one is clicking through to the site, it won't make it to the top. Or if it does, it won't stay there long. Unless of course none of the competition has engagement either.

      Links + Clickthroughs + Happy Users = #1 rankings. It's a three-legged stool.

    Anti-intuitive advice:

    OUTSOURCE it!

Why? cause if you go for example to a dude or agency BHW forum or here or in reputable forum, they can rank your site for you for not too much more easily: cause they have probably different backlinks from the ones you can find, and different PBNs too.

Congrats on getting the rankings that you already have. I recommend you take a hard look at the meta titles on the pages that are ranking. Start optimizing them for clicks without taking your keywords from it. Also, work overtime on improving the dwell time on your pages and user engagement metrics.

To get to page one you relevant need links yes. To get to the top of the page in tough niches, you need to be optimized for RankBrain. A lot of that has to do with how well a page is getting clicked from the SERPS.

Back before Penguin, I ranked well over 5,000 sites on to page one using ONLY links. After Penguin we became a full-service SEO agency and have been at it ever since. I say that to say this; I WISH all it took were links to get to #1 because I miss those days!

consider hiring people to help out with SEO. With an increase in work force your results should follow. Do not limit on blogs, try other pages with higher DA too. MOZ should be handy for this kind of stuff.

Surely, you can rank all the keywords.
Start creating backlinks from today on authority sites with anchor text related to your niche. In 2 to 3 months you can rank good. I am also working on Entertainment stuff like Movies/Animes and it is a lot difficult in my situation.

Now in days, Google changes its algorithm for ranking SERP's and for backlinks. Google need quality backlinks instead of quantity. They need a proper fresh content on your website on a daily basis because the content is king. So they update your website's cache to current date. Google's cache plays a very important role in improving ranking. Try to check your website inner pages cache on weekly basis. If your cache of some inner pages of the website is 15 or 1 month ago then try to post your inner pages to Google Plus on communities according to your website category(mobile price and specs). I know your website is fully optimized on page but these factors affect ranking as well as traffic.

I know it's a bit of a read, but I hope this helps!

      Rather obvious advice, but accurate.

This is blatantly incorrect. Check out Backlinko.com, check how often the site is updated, (hardly ever) and it ranks for all the major keywords in the SEO niche.

Why do you want to improve your Page Rank? And what are you using to measure it? The toolbar quit being updated years ago. I recommend you focus your attention on links and rankings. The fact you have a page one ranking is awesome, I hope it keeps climbing for you!

Patiently create helpful content and build bonds over time. Big time effort and patience you need to rank on page 1 of Google though. For any keyword.

Blog comments DO help you make friends with bloggers which opens you up to features and guest posting opportunities. Gaining links on other blogs through features and guest posts tightens up your SEO game nicely. Most Warriors are off on commenting, not seeing it as a gateway activity.
