Recently my site got hаcked. They created lots of redirection to 3rd party website from my website. Google had let me know about this issue. So I cleaned up my site and also informed Google for review. Good News is that, Google has white-listed my site. But the problem I am facing now is with those links which they created are now redirecting to 404(not found) page generally as those spammy url doesn't exists into the site anymore.

But today I saw that there are 168 not found error from Webmaster tools> Crawl Errors> Not Found (Google as emailed me about this Increase in "404" pages on ...)

Can anyone please let me know what to do now or how to fix this?

I might not clear with my concern to some people so please ask me for any clarifications.

I've attached a screenshot which shows the spammy urls which they created and currently showing under Webmaster tools

    1. Make sure you've removed all links from your site to the spammy site, including onpage & in your sitemaps(s)
    2. Resubmit your sitemap via Google Console
    3. Mark the errors as fixed in Google Console

Just make sure you have no broken links on your website. The rest is the Google's job. After some time it will find out that you have deleted some pages and that it is not a 404 error.

    First, forget Google.
If you mention the CMS/Script, then it will be easy for me to guide you properly.

If you have the database backup, then restore it.
For WordPress, Check the permalink (match with previous settings).

After that, check the website script with security plugins (just google it). But, if you know which plugins/themes you use. Then delete (except config files) all current theme & plugins and upload all manually.

It really doesn't matter and certainly is nothing that is "urgent". Your site does not lose any rankings because of 404 errors. All sites have them and the bigger the site, the more there are. Amazon probably has tens of thousands of them.

If they really bother you, create 301 re-directs for all of them to a page that makes sense.

The 404s would have to be broken internal links but you said the hacker was sending traffic to their site which wouldn't be counted in Webmaster Tools so I'm not sure what you're dealing with.

    No screenshot.
