anchor text: "no text" ??

Hey there,

Analyzing Ahrefs anchor texts. Sometimes I see "<a> no text </a>" what is that exactly?
Is is just leaving it empty like this <a href="www.website.com"> </a>

    That is probably from some idiot using a bot to create links and they don't know how to configure it properly.

    No text in anchor text means between anchor text code, you have not included any targeted keyword or text.
