Duplicate Keywords in Titles and Meta Data Penalties

I have a client who has products with a similar keyword and multiple variations. For example, the product is a Ducted Fume Hood.

Keyword is Ducted Fume Hood which needs to be used for multiple pages with variations that include things such as: Stainless Steel, Polyproylene, Dissipative, Non-Dissipative, Size (6 inch etc)

So his page URLS, titles and meta data all look eerily similar upfront such as: https://www.<name>/ducted-fume-hood-non-dissipative-pvc-60-inch

OR: https://www.<name>/ducted-fume-hood-stainless-steel-60-inch

The question is, will these pages get penalized by Google for keyword stuffing if the URLs are that closely aligned and/or the Page title is similar like:

Ducted Fume Hood | Stainless Steel
Ducted Fume Hood | Non Dissipative PVC

I think Google takes the entire URL (not just first 3 words) into consideration and then of course the extra data in the META information as well as page content.

But please, if anyone knows the answer to my dilemma, I would really appreciate your experience and wisdom.

Thank you.

    Hi there,
In my opinion, the request of your client about a product with a similar keyword and multiple variations is not neccessary. You just need to focus on the MAIN keyword (Here the MAIN keyword is "Ducted Fume Hood") and then, the following sub-keywords like "Ducted Fume Hood Stainless Steel", "Ducted Fume Hood Polyproylene", "Ducted Fume Hood Dissipative", "Ducted Fume Hood Non-Dissipative", "Ducted Fume Hood Size" will automaticaally leads into the top of Google, too. So, I think the Page title of the sub-pages like:
Ducted Fume Hood | Stainless Steel
Ducted Fume Hood | Non Dissipative PVC
, you don't need to add "Ducted Fume Hood". It's not NATURAL with Google! If you want to optimize these sub-keyword, you can add the tags, SEO Onpage & Offpage for these keyword.
If you do these actions well, I'm sure your site will leads to a peak to Google's top naturally in a sustainable way.
Any questions? Don't mind to ask me.

    Why are you taking clients?

Just what meta data do you figure google is considering in 2018?

If you don't have a clue as to what the frick you are doing.....fire yourself.

Stop taking clients. Go learn something. You know you have learned enough when you don't need to come here to ask such a question.

According to my experience you should only concentrate on Product Relevant content.
If your content is irrelevant from description , title, and url Then your web page count under the key word stuffing penelities

I'm trying to figure out why your subject is about titles and meta data but the bulk of your question is about URLs. Google doesn't give a rat's (you know what) about a URL. It has ZERO influence over what a page/site can rank for. They need to be different (obviously). That's about it!

As far as the title tag goes, the ones you have are OK; although, in these days of semantic and voice search, I'd probably write them the way that human beings actually speak (i.e. "Stainless Steel Ducted Fume Hood" and "Non Dissipative PVC Ducted Fume Hood"). I'd sure like to see you use those phrases the way you want to do it in a sentence somewhere on the page!

That is a canonical problem. Google how to set a canonical page as the main page with the content. Surely there is a WordPress plugin for that (I think even Yoast might do that).

The other thing that you could do to easily fix the problem is set up your categories to display more products per page so that there never is a page 2. Another solution would be adding infinite scroll to pages so that they just keep loading and showing more products as people continue to scroll down so that a page 2,3,4, never happens. There are definitely a variety of plugins for that.

There will always a common keyword stuffing if you use keywords like this

Ducted Fume Hood | Stainless Steel
Ducted Fume Hood | Non Dissipative PVC.

I would like to suggest you choose keyword variations somewhat like Non-Dissipative Ducted Fume Hood PVC, if it suitable with the product information. Also avoid copying content within the website, as you are saying products are similar.
