WordPress and Adsense

I recently built a WP-based site with multiple pages/posts, and added Adsense ads.
Though Adsense has properly recognized the content of most posts, it will not properly recognize the content on my Home page, which is set as the blog (not static). Adsense ads instead, display wordpress, theme and plugin-related ads.
Are there special hacks, etc. I need to set in order to get Adsense to properly recognize the content?
