You can't prevent any page from appearing in google search results, due to how the internet and google work.

The only way is to take them offline.

Any why not? You don't want anyone to see them anyway, so wtf does it matter?

    Stupid questions demand real answers.

Newsflash: If you block something in robot.txt, it means the noindex is never seen on the individual page...
      DOH!

And (as I stated above) the only way to stop a page from showing up....is to take it offline...either via the server, or just delete it.

Second NEWSFLASH: Google even tells you this...because google is not the only search engine on the planet. They are not perfect. The internet is not perfect. Crawlers are not perfect. None of them are the same.

This is your brain, this thread is your brain on drugs.

No reason to not delete a page that you don't want seen. Only surefire way of making it unseen. But then, we would digress to cache, webarchive, wayback machine, and other such rot...

On a daily basis...I view many blocked pages, especially on news sites. There's this little trick about viewing text...

      But I digress even further.

If you use wordpress, you can use Yoast SEO to mass no-index your site, then override that one page

  • If your site is small, like 10-100 pages (& I am assuming that it's on WordPress) then just use the Yoast Seo feature from where you can set whether you want to block the google bot from certain pages.

Like do this for 99 pages and leave the default setting (which is index) for that one page.

    FYI - Google Webmaster isn't the long-term fix as it's a temporary de-index

plz hit the thank if you find my reply useful...
