Google august Update targeted more areas of medical websites.
    What is your site about?

All of our sites stayed the same or went up a little in the rankings. None of ours lost ranking.

This comes down to content and whether or not yours is truly unique, helpful and better than what else is out there. Your goal should be to make your site better than any other competitor in the niche. If it's not, you still have work to do.

As far as yaarsong.com goes all I have to ask is "where"? I can't find any content on your site - at least not any worth indexing and certainly nothing worth copying. What little there is, is not grammatically correct and just looks like keyword spam to me. Some pages just list a bunch of keywords as the sole content of the page. And, it is so barren of design, it makes CraigsList and Wikipedia look like works of art.

Of course, as your first post ever, I'm sure you were trying to get a free, yet worthless, nofollow backlink. Excellent job of accomplishing nothing!

I'm not sure I can tell you what to write. You built this site with some sort of goal in mind other than to make money, I hope.

What are site visitors learning about the music, the artists, the genres on your site? What information can you give people that enriches their understanding of those things other than "here's a link"? Maybe reviewing the song, providing the lyrics, a link to a video if it exists, etc. will add some worthwhile content to the site.

And, as I mentioned before, find a better theme and layout. This one is horrible!

Did you use any "blackhat" SEO for the site?

Focus on creating helpful content and building strong connections Jees. Google shakes out folks who stray from creating and connecting toward less beneficial ends. Stick to the basics, help people and you will keep rising up rankings as folks less focused on creating and connecting get shaken out with each update buddy

My website keywords ranking are improved. But it means nothing. What we can do is to produce the content what our customers need.

Yeah, seems like people jumped to conclusions a bit. There was some shakeout, but eventually things have settled and many sites that seemed to be initally affected have seen their rankings restored

Its been a month now and I haven't seen any improvement yet. I was ranking number 1, now I'm dancing from page 2 to 10. I have a redirect from an old domain to a new domain. I wonder if I remove the old domain -- which is full of seo links -- can cause an increase back in rankings. Maybe Google applied a filter for sites with some suspicious links to drop in rankings?

  • With Google's recent announcement of the August 1 core update, many SEO professionals were left a bit confused about exactly what changed (besides their rankings).

If you missed the announcement, here's Google's official acknowledgement of the update:

Google has confirmed the Broad Core update. The update is all about the improvement of the relevant results to the search queries. Some sites may have seen drop in their keyword ranking, but it's not because of the poor quality, it's because Google has updated ranking metrics as they want to show more relevant results to the users. To stay updated, creating relevant content on regular basis will definitely be a bonus.

The client (doctor) has multiple websites. Main site - contains all procedures he provides, other sites of this doctor have been optimized for specific procedures.
Main content is mostly unique (maybe some sentences and some media content repeated, tools like copy scape don't show duplicated content at all or show only low % of duplication), but the topics of articles are repeated on different client's sit.
Since updating google algorithm in august, main site's traffic is constantly dropping.
Could it be possible that main site have been hit due reason that the doctor has other really multiple websites, on the same topics? Google 'medic' update - punish doctors who have multiple websites?
