What niche to choose while starting SEO ?

Hi!

I started learning SEO and i have been asking the community who has helped alot in this regard and i thank all on my previous thread of how to start SEO path. This is another post where is seek help in same regard.

While learning SEO the main thing was which keyword to focus and there were different kind of tools and links given to evaluate and check everything. But i am confused as to choose which niche and then the Keyword for starting SEO. A friend of mine told me start with health but i read and alot of people have disouraged about that as health is high competition and finding low competition keywords in this niche is difficult.

I would like SEO GURUS and EXPERTS to help me in this regard in choosing the niche.


As always any kind of positive criticism suggestions and advices are welcome.

    I think it needs to start with what do YOU want to do? For what purpose are you creating a website? If I told you to go after the nuclear physicist niche because it was a good one, would you be able to create any original content worthy of reading?

    Stick to things you know and can write intelligently about; otherwise, what is the point of creating a website in the first place?

    Its not about what niche you must choose but what niche you can choose. If you don't know about a niche then how you are going to create or write something useful about it.

    Choose a low competition, easy to enter niche. Learn the skills. Once you have succeeded in ranking in that niche, move on to more competitive ones.


    If you start with a difficult niche, you might give up too soon because it will take a while to rank your site. Build your skills first.

    Technology and online shopping niche are currently trending. So you will have to consider those niche too. And if you have a good knowledge of technology and would also like to know about trading technology, then it is the best.

    But I suggest you that first, you must know about the Digital marketing. How Digital marketing works? In Digital marketing we have different categories like Search engine optimization (SEO), Social media marketing (SMM), Pay-per-click (PPC) and many other. So you must know about all these things that how it works? What are the techniques and strategies?
    Then you should do search keywords of your website through Google Planner and search volume. Then starting your website SEO.

    So many niches are now closed off to us amateurs.


    However, the hobby and interests niche is still a great one. I'm having great success in this niche. A lot of popular sites in this niche are closing down and it's not too difficult to replace them.


    There are loads of micro-niches within the wider niche. Just look at all the different ways people make money from crafts on etsy.

    I'm not an expert, but even I know that health, is overcrowded and dominated. It'll take a lot of time to compete with them. I want to recommend something for you but I feel that the whole market is in the same situation (food, sports, movies, music, arts, ...).

    My advice is to pick something interesting to you and focus on targeting that market till you gets some attention.

Almost anything you can think of is a niche and that is why we are going to get you to choose YOUR niche based on things that you are interested in.

    Your niche could be anything, but at the core of your niche selection it should be something that you "like". Something you enjoy. Something you can talk about. Something you want to learn about.

    1. What's the subject/topic that interests you the most? Once you are ready with this answer, choose that as your niche.
    2. Find the competitors in this niche and perform a deep competitor analysis.
    3. Monitor their strategies and make a combination of what they follow plus unique content to manifest in your blog website.

    Because if you pick a niche with lower keyword or ranking competition someday you will run out of unique content to share and that will be the end to your website. On the other hand a well researched and of interest niche will always rank.
