How can i increase the number of results in Google search results ?

Hello,

I've been collecting some data from Google for a while now, however i noticed that there is a certain limit with the search results. I tried increasing it from the Search settings and it did, but it's still not enough !

I was hoping if any of you can point out to me a way to increase the number of results either directly from the search engine or through a program!

Any help would be much appreciated !

    I don't know exactly what you are asking but I will say this that if for a specific query Google doesn't have much pages to show you then there is no way you can increase that.

      The result for the queries i request have more 1000 results to return, but Google only show a few, like there is some kind of limitations, it dosn't go above a certain number as a search result !

    After a new update of relevancy algorithm Google shows you the most relevant results only....
    For more results you can modify the same search query........

      Thanks !

      Yeah that's what i was afraid of, i remember long ago Google used to show a lot of pages, you would reach page 20 and you would still have results to browse through.

      But by modifying the search query you would get duplicate results, so i'm looking for another way !

      No, it's not.
      At least of course you start looking somewhere around 50 or even first 100 results.

      Example. If you try to find web directories you'll get 5 or more pages of garbage
      that have nothing or very little to do with directories per se but with some sites stuffed
      by SEOs with terms related to directories.

      10 - 15 years ago, you would have nothing but directories and that is not isolated to
      directories alone but to virtually every topic there is.

        So basically what you are saying is currently google only displays 5 pages of results 100(result) x 5(pages), even if Google has more results to show for it will always remain in that limit ???

          What I'm saying that first 50 -100 results over-optimized garbage and
          normal pages with subjects of your interest would start popping up
          after, which IMHO says that G. algo is too stupid to distinguish between
          real and created to trick G. in favor of garbage sites/pages.

    I think you are saying that you want to change the number of results per page when you perform a Google search. You do that by first performing a search. After the results are initially displayed, you need to click the Settings link at the top and then the Search settings link from the drop-down (there are several to choose from and 100 is the max).

      Let's say for example i try to search for the list of schools in the all world.
      Normally i should get more than 1000 schools since we know that there are more than that number exist and certainly have an online presence !

      That been said, Google would only show me 1000 results so there is a limitations for the search query, i was hoping for a way to bypass that !

    Yeah, i got the same issue. My best suggestion is to have multiple sitemaps.
    For example, if your website has more than 1k URLs then the way you submitting your sitemap is ..

    https://yoururl.com/sitemap1.xml
    https://www.url.com/sitemap2.xml

    and so on...!
    This is how you should submit your sitemap. Importantly.

    Google webconsole team has also made a video defining this issue.

      That's realy good to know, but i'm not you uunderstaand me, i'm talking about me searching inside google and i want to see the result of my query increasing, its the other way around

        I got what you are looking for.

        You need to go to setting -> Search Settings

        Results per page

        Here you will see options from 10 to 100 results per page. Once this done click on save at the bottom. If you still have any doubts ask me.

    Google has recommended showing the results up to 100 maximum. I thought in google search you may not have this option.

    Hey,
    I basically don't understand that what you are asking but which I understand is that:
    First in your browser press keywords buttons Ctrl, Shift, and N. Then black color browser open, you can write over it which google.com.pk. At the bottom right side Settings > Click on setting and Search Setting click it. Result per page 10 faster -100 slower. You can scroll over it according to it. Select and save then it according to change.

      Thank you, but i've already applied that. It's limited to 100 results per pages and 5 pages i think in total. I'm looking for going beyond that !
