I remember starting out 3 plus years ago blogging not having a clue about seo but I was able to rank simply by stuffing my pages with key words. All that has changed now as google continues to upgrade it's system with google and panda updates so they have caught on to the nifty seo tricks of the past .
Fast forward up until this day and time I still have a lot more to learn about seo but since I have started studying more some things became more and more clear to me so I can share what i've learned with you.
What you need to focus on is producing good content that draws readers in before you get into all the technical parts of seo . Optimizing each of your your pages to rank for relevant keywords is another basic way to gain favor with the search engine . Linking out and linking back to older post that you want to boost traffic to is another amazing way to boost your website. Page load speed ,theme layout are very important aspects too.
There is something that you cannot forget to and that is to update older post ,use your keyword in your title ,meta tag description and alson in you H1 h2 tags.
