A very dramatic LOW CTR (0.3%) - Why?!

Hi Everyone.

I'm Mehdi. I have a small digital marketing agency.
One of the clients has a website with very terrible CTR (0.3%). They moved the website to WordPress recently and had a DDoS attack. But as you can see it's been like this for a while and I don't understand it really.
They're working on CRM Softwares and Office Automation Softwares.

    using a "site:..." search in google, all urls in the results seem to return a 404 error. did you simply move the page to a new url structure without any redirects? and what is in google looks like rubbish with error messages and javascript code as meta descriptions and duplicate meta descriptions.

    clean that up:
    - old urls redirect to their new url
    - there is a sitemap
    - every page that is supposed to be found in google has a nice and unique title and meta description

    On average, your clients site is on page 3 of the search results, so really they won't be getting many clicks at all anyway.

    You need to focus on improving the ranking first, then once you have ranked well, focus on improving CTR via more enticing page titles and descriptions.

    I'm not sure what you are complaining about. The average ranking is 30. You should be grateful they are getting any clicks.

    Have you checked the snippets? Does the site have rich snippets?
    I had a problem like this once on one of my sites. Because of the poor theme, the snippets were broken and it didn't show normal text, but some HTML code of a table which was the first thing on each article.

    When I changed to Rich Snippets the CTR changed drastically.

    Mike nailed the only valid answer. The lower the ranking, the worse the click-through-rate.
