I've recently created a Wordpress site and enabled Yoast SEO, however, my site isn't appearing on Google Search even when I search the specific terms or URL. What are the features I need to have enabled within my site to ensure it is search friendly?

According to me, there are 2 reasons
1 is your URL have robot.txt link because it will stop the search engine to read the URL
the other reason is maybe your URL is hit by search engine means it will count as a spam

Submit your sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools to make sure your website gets indexed every time and on time.

That URL might be not getting crawled and indexed by Google. That's why it's not showing in the result. The reason could be

The URL is not added in the sitemap file.
The URL is added in the robot.txt file
You might be added the noindex tag to that URL
You might be enabled the option "exclude in search results" in Yoast SEO plugin.

Take a look into these options and fix the issue. Once you fixed, Submit that URL in the URL inspection tool through Google search console.

    Yoast doesn't rank web pages.

And I would get rid of it immediately. It's garbage.

You have done nothing to deserve to rank. The #1 ranking factor in Google is links. Without them, you won't rank unless there is no competition.

Sometimes it can take a week or more for a search engine to update search results. This is because your website is new and doesn't have any inbound links.
