Report a competitor for PBN?

I have also noticed some of my competitors are still using cloaking strategy to rank their keywords with multiple domains. Don't know why they are not penalized.

All of the things I read about PBNs being bad, and I have found several competitors ranking number far above more useful content and they will have 10 or more (very crappy and obvious) PBN links pointing at the pages...

I mean it's at the point where just by the name of domain it's not a legit site....

PBNs may be bad, but you can't deny the fact that they work (at least for a short time). I'd focus on beating the competitor by building quality links on real sites. Reporting someone is generally just a waste of time better spent doing outreach, improving on-page or building citations.

Yes, you can really do that, but there are much smarter ways for doing everything you really can for that matter. Please install something there if you can. You can see if it works for him you may copy it in some way if you can, see my point ?

If I use a PBN but my page is the best match for a search?

If I use a PBN but made up of money making sites I own, all good sites, providing what people want?

If I use a PBN but have tons of backlinks given to me by site owners I do not even know exist because they like my content?

Than what am I, Google, to do? Remove the page and show a crappier page in its place or close my eyes to the PBN stuff?

They've been really silent on the whole subject lately, which makes me think the biggest issue was the spammy, low quality sites people were using years ago. There's honestly risk in any link-building strategy though since Google relies on an algorithm that's looking at ratios and things like that.

My usual advice with all these things is to not let it get to you. I appreciate that if it appears to be affecting you personally (ranking/financially) then it can sting a bit.
However in most cases there is little you can do constructively that will do any more than make you feel you have "fought back".

Try to let it go. Its an emotion and not helping you. Put all the effort that feel you should be aiming at your competitor and apply it to your own business. Build more and better links, produce more and better content, spread yourself further on social media, create more products, send more emails, buy more ads or whatever you do in your particular business.

Long term this will benefit you far more than trying to fight with others.
