I spent the last several days with my business partner, Andy

askloz, that's not true. The lead developer is basically someone who manages and leads the development of the product. Simon started at Google as a customer service representative, or something like that.

I'm not saying he's not great now, but that's how he started, and he never became or could have become the lead developer of AdWords.

Actually, someone can be promoted or even hired into a lead developer role.
He or she does not need to be the original creator or innovator of the product

That said, however, you're right...
I was not the lead developer of AdWords.

My official role was the most Sr. AdWords Optimization Specialist.
I co-founded the AdWords Optimization Team (now up to 100s of team members)
Also founded the Agency Optimization Team (managing highest spnding clients).
I personally developed the strategies used to train the Google team today.

That same training was used to train the AdWordsAssistants.com team.

Yep, Simon was at the top for sure...lucky you Simon.

By the way, I only said that you could never have become the lead developer simply because your specialty and path couldn't have lead you there (right?), even though it did lead you to become very successful.

No worries, I thought I'd give you a plug Simon, after that AWESOME PPC Classroom event you showed up at and some, ssssshhhh, hush hush, stuff that you were able to share.

Yup, I was one of the PPC Classroom, 2007... Las Vegas Support Staff at the time.

I've heard of many people not having much luck with PPC management companies but if this person is highly recommended go do your due diligence and then maybe give him a shot. Simon seems to be highly regarded.
