SSL Error with Domain Aliases - Will Add-On Domains Cause Duplicate Content Issue?

Hi,

I have a number of domain names that have been pointed at my main site for quite a few years. They are set up in cPanel as domain aliases.

Some are old names from our business and others are variations on our current name like the .net, .org., etc.

After we began using a Globalsign SSL certificate for our main site, the aliases are all showing ssl errors like "Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information..."

Our web host suggested changing them all to add-on domains that redirect to the primary. I was concerned that this might cause duplicate content issues. Is this a problem or no?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mike
