Often we see threads where the Original Poster is new to marketing and builds a website that has been online for approximately 90 days. They have decent organic traffic, relative and contextual content, etc., but no opt-ins and a high bounce rate. I wonder why? Yep, the font thing.

Ads may be taking more and more space, but the data suggests that Organic search out performs "Ads" as in 5 to 1 and maybe a bit more ( ads account for 3% and Organic accounts for 18% ) And I suggests that its not "Harder" you simply have to be "Smarter" in your SEO approach.

This would be what I would consider a "Marketing" approach and NOT an SEO one. YES you want to create multiple avenues of traffic. But you have to keep in mind that each and every platform has its strengths and weakness's, as well as a more targetable audience. So creating a single piece of content ( like a blog post ) and throwing it across all of the platforms simply does not work. You can direct traffic to the blog post, but how that looks on each platform needs to reflect the user interest based on platform vs your narrow interest of getting traffic to your post.

Yes this makes sense... but you have to keep in mind that what you may say in a "video" is NOT what you might say in an audio file. IE using a graphic as a visual example of what you are talking about does great on video.. and obviously would be lacking with audio.

Again I do not consider this an SEO strategy.. more so a "Marketing" strategy. In terms of SEO its more and more about the context and intent of the end user and matching THAT vs some broad topic.

Taking a topic like "Forex", The term "Forex" is going to provide you with very little to no gains in term of getting listed in search... its not that it wont/cant happen... just not starting out. Take a term like "how to trade forex with $100" and you all of the sudden have a decreased amount of competition, and greater possibility of creating a collection of content that will rank. AND you are now at the lower end of the spectrum of people in terms of financial backing.

If you are selling a "How to trade Forex" product... a target audience of low startup capital would be a good place to start. providing content on how to trade with smaller investment - alongside a forex trading tool makes sense, no?

I think writing and creating great content will be mainstay in 2020 as with past years. I bet they will continue to crack down on paid links.

Hopefully they will relieve some of the rules and level the playing field for people with less money. They should allow people and companies who work hard to rank higher in the search engines.

One things I have been focusing on is using video to rank as the suggested videos since they often appear around article 3-4 mark for a lot of searches.

Many people if they have the option to watch rather than read will opt for watching so good to cater to that crowd as well.
