Hi all,
A few backlinks, google dont rank well.
Agressive bulding backlink also under google eye, they may consider the spam links.
Here I am talking about manual building backlink (not link purchase).
So what is average backlink monthly that meet google guidelines.

Thanks for your advise.

There is no such thing. How fast, how often you accumulate links has no bearing in their algorithm.

If it was a factor, pages that suddenly went viral, accumulating a ton of links, would get penalized. The exact opposite happens, even if the jump is often short-lived.

The only thing that matters is how credible the links are - that they are editorially placed on reputable and relevant sites - and the number of those high quality links. The frequency and/or rate at which they are built are not factors.

Do not listen to Dave and Mike: they know what they're talking about. Instead, shoot for 12.479812/day. If you do 12.479811 or fewer, you'll never rank. If you do 12.479813 or more, Google will kick you out of the internet.

On a serious note: why do you bother with irrelevant stuff? Imean, transfer this to any other kind of marketing: How many newspapers can I have my ad show in in one day and not get penalized by the Newspaper Gods? How many ads can I have in my store windows and not get penalized by the Ad Display Police?

There is no "average". It's all in the technique you use to build backlinks that will make or break your rankings. For example, you should not use the exact same anchor text over and over again when building backlinks, as that will send a red flag to Google (anchor text over optimization). Also, you should focus on creating links that are dofollow and from different web properties, which will make your backlink profile appear as natural as possible.

Well, there are not any specific criteria to build links. Only you need to keep in mind to build quality and relevant links. Only Quality and relevant links can help you to rank well.

  • If we are talking about backlink strategy then at the starting stage only 80 to 100 backlinks are enough with high Domain rating sites.

Hi there. If your website is new and if Google found out millions of backlinks to your website, then definitely your website get penalised. There is no exact number for this. But if you generate backlinks organically from relevant websites, then there's no question for spamming.

Keep building quality backlinks. As many as you can, and keep doing it without ever stopping. Maintain a healthy mix of dofollow & nofollow link, plus take some action for social media as well.

If you are going to actively add backlinks, you cannot possibly adhere to "Google guidelines" in entirety. Most off-page SEO is active solicitation of link (whether paid or free). Google says all paid and solicited links (guest post, etc) be "nofollow".

"The best way to get other sites to create high-quality, relevant links to yours is to create unique, relevant content that can naturally gain popularity in the Internet community. Creating good content pays off: Links are usually editorial votes given by choice, and the more useful content you have, the greater the chances someone else will find that content valuable to their readers and link to it."

And what is a healthy percentage of nofollow links?

And why would you even bother? You get plenty without doung anything and, unless you get teaffic, they do not matter.

And, if they get you traffic, you should get them regardless of nofollw tag.

If its a new sites then start with 2 to 3 links per week. Next month, raise it to 4 to 5. After 3 to 4 months, 30 links per month is okay. Gradually, keep increasing. Idea is to make it look all natural.

We built 1,500 links to a multi-location franchise website last June with no negative effect whatsoever. Why in the world would a location-based franchise not want people to be able to find all their locations in places like yp.com? It's a natural thing to do and it's good for the users who visit those sites.

That site saw a 100% increase in direct traffic YoY in July by the way. Link velocity doesn't matter one way or the other.

To OP I say it could be zero or millions.

If you are doing link building for your own site then just build as much as you can. I am guessing you will be attempting guest posting. So, if you are on your own then you won't be able to build more than 10 or 20 links per month anyway.

I think google plays a lot with its "good seo rules".

    1. The big ecommerce websites and the big news websites every day receive thousands of do follow links (even spam) and are not penalized

    2. Many websites positioned on the first page of Google for a specific keyword, have hundreds of backlinks whith this specific keyword as anchor text and a few dozens of others spammy backlinks

Having said that, I don't mean that it is right to get 1,000 backlinks in a week using the same keywords, but you shouldn't be afraid to get a good number of backlinks with specific anchor text in a short period, if these links are quality links...

There is no limit to building backlinks. At my earlier job, I used to build at least 10 backlinks every day.
Google does not penalize you for building more backlinks. Instead, ensure that you build quality backlinks for your website and also ensure that you keep a natural profile of backlinks for your website, that is, build Do-follow as well as No-follow backlinks.

You do proper onpage SEO (look into silo structure) and get backlinks. Links that you create, not worth much. Links you get from random people (because they loved your page), worth much more. So, look into skyscraper technique (Backlinko.com) or buying them. (Yup, buying them. Not the crappy ones, the good ones. A good one would be from the site of a business; a bad one is from a seller of links on fiverr or similar palces.

No, don't do any of those for ranking. The links you get that way are weak. They will not help you rank; they used to but not anymore.

You have a shoe store, get a backlink or two from inside the pages of a men's fashion website. Better yet get a backlink and a recommendation.

You sell houses, get a backlink from a mortgage broker, title company or real estate appraiser or attorney. Best would be from their home page, but even from inside any article on their site works.

      How do you get those?
You have content on your site they like so much that, once you draw their attention to it, they want to link to it.

You pay them to do it.

There are no "Google guidelines", but you can research the link-velocity of well-ranked sites similar to yours, then you do the same (making sure your number of visitors, social-media signals etc. make sense with that link velocity).

Only get back-links from sites that have a Domain-Authority of 20+, and similar content to yours.

      Chris

You need to research the historical list-velocity for successful sites similar to yours, and do the same.

Make sure you have a lot more visitors than back-links, make sure you get plenty of social media signals (they don't directly contribute to ranking, but they are essential to show Google that your content is liked and shared by others), and make sure all back-links are DA 20+ and from sites with content obviously related to yours.

You can make backlinks as much as you can. There are no limitations.

Aggressive building backlinks also under google eye, they may consider the spam links
    Its true.

You need to make backlinks by researching by your own or by a expert. Buying backlinks is an worst idea. Because if you buy 100 backlinks or more, you may get these backlinks instantly which behaves like a robot and it is against the Google Algorithm.

For example: If you drive your car in high speed, it will go on the eye of police. But if you drive in normal speed, police will never harass you.

Google is also like that. If you create backlinks 100 in one day, google may ban you as a spam. Cause generally it is impossible for a man to create a quality backlinks, like such a great number, in only one day. So google considers all your 100 backlinks as a spam.

At last, you can make as much you can. But don't use any bot for it or buy backlinks. Do it by yourself or hire an expert.

    Thank You
