Everything is filled with good and bad people. Honest people and dishonest people. If you blindly accept any post to be your article in your blog and/or try to guest post in any blog just to earn links through it then probably you will end up spamming your own blog and/or got caught in the red eye of the host blog's owner who will see you as spammer.

Yes, it's definitely still worth it. The great thing about guest posting is that it helps you build your brand voice on other platforms. When you scale this up, it's like its own machine and it is extremely powerful.

This is what I do for a lot of my clients when I'm helping them grow their website because not only am I securing a high-quality link back to their site, but I'm also building their authority across different channels.

Yes, it works. However, most good sites have long stopped accepting guest posts due to abuse for SEO links. If someone is accepting all free guest posts, the site is susceptible to significant decline due to all the links built. Most site owners are now choosy about the links they allow. So, building links using guest posts is not easy anymore.

Focus on high or medium authority website for guest blogging .

One guest post is enough for getting thousands of targeted traffic in your niche . If people like your article , they will find your website in author link .

Definitely guest posting is still one of the proven link building methods. But the
content relevancy and blog authority is a concern here. If you can get a link from a blog which is getting a good amount of organic traffic and a decent domain authority, it will be beneficial for you. But the content should must be relevant to your link.

What do you mean by worth it?

If you're talking about backlinks... then maybe. It depends on where you're guest posting, and how.

If you're talking about traffic... then definitely. Still, it depends on where you're guest posting, and how good your content is, but done right... definitely. There's no doubt about it.

If you're talking about money... then sure. There's lots of blogs that will pay you to guest write for them... but that's only if you can create great content that their audience will love!

Ideally, you want to get paid to guest post so you can get all the benefits above all at once.

Many years ago I read a saying on of all things on a sugar packet when they used to have little messages on them.

It said and I have never forgotten it:

"He who has a thing to sell and goes and wispers in a well is not as apt to get the dollar as he who climbs a tree and hollers"

Guest hosting works in your niche as well as any way to get exposed to your niche clients and create an opportunity to collect an email address to market to them again and again but not spamming them to death with offers.

Build That List and Google is no longer you biggest competitor.
