In Google Analytics you can go to Realtime > Traffic Sources > Top Keywords

I actually prefer going to Google Search Console > Performance > If they are not showing already click all 4:
    • Total Clicks
    • Total Impressions
    • Average CTR
    • Average Position
There you can easily see what keywords Google is showing the most and what people are clicking on the most.

    Thanks Janice.

Yeah - I'm slowly creeping back into SEO and I remember that GA used to have a keyword section where you see what ppl are typing in to get to your website. Looks like Google moved everything.

But I agree - Search Console will probably be my main method of finding out the organic side of things.

Google got rid of that years ago when they went to "private search". Linking up Search Console is your best solution.

In Search Console, go to Performance to see all the search queries being used to get to your site. To see the queries for a given page, first select the "Pages" tab under the graph, then in the list select the the URL you want to check, then click the "Queries" tab under the graph. You'll see the list of keywords users use to find that page.

In Google Analytics, most of the keywords come as a '(not set)' keywords. So it is better to use Google Search Console Performance report to identify keywords. With Google analytics, you can have an idea of the keywords if you apply secondary dimension 'Page Title' against organic landing pages , provided you have all meta tags in place. By looking at page title you get an idea of possible keywords using which searcher may have landed onto your page. Also, there are tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs etc. that provide keywords mapping i.e. landing pages for each of your organic keywords. So you can identify which keyword gets you visit on your landing pages.

It works the other way around.
You have to find out what keywords people are searching for.
Then create content that solves that query.
As your content gets spotted more on the internet, you get upsurge in your rankings.
    I hope this helps!

Generally Google webmasters tools can explore more better than analytics because we can see there about all things like for which keywords we are getting more clicks, what is keywords position, impression and many more.
