Why I can't rank for a keyword?

Hi!
I'm working on a forum (link not permitted) and I'd like to rank for a keyword. I was trying to do it for such a long time but I can't.
I first thought that it was because the forum doesn't fulfill search intent (the best 7 ranked pages are about selling products and mine are about reviews of those products) but the 8th is a forum which is about the same as mine.
It has the biggest amount of backlinks, do you think it's because of that?
Thanks!

When you say that you tried for a long time, what did you do?

A lot of people try without having the first clue about SEO. They work hard at writing stupidly long articles and getting the site pages to load 0.002 seconds faster, and compare DA and PA and such.

    What did you do?

Yes, the pages that rank above yours are there because they have more or better backlinks.

    Hi
I recommend you to go and do your extensive keyword research properly if you really understand it.
The number of backlinks (quantity) is not what really matters when it comes to getting a high DA and PA. Its the quality that matters most.

    Why I can't rank for a keyword?
    I think that main reasons:
1.On page SEO not setup properly.
    2. Do not create off SEO.
    3. Do not enough proper content.
    4. Not create post regularly.

Try to target long-tail keywords and strongly related keywords derived from this keyword.

Also, combine words that Google expects to see when such a keyword is looked for. these words are the words that Google autocomplete is suggesting.

there are many keyword tools that provide autocomplete results, such as keywordtool.io, kwfinder, my favorite is keywordbull.com, because it has a feature called word analysis which finds these words and their ranking power, so you don't have to do this manually

Read some articles on Bruce Clay's website or on backlinko.com (read his article on keywords and on the skyscraper technique).

  • There's a lot of rivalry. By and large, the explanation a post doesn't rank is that there's basically a lot of rivalry. In the event that you streamline your blogpost for serious catchphrases and keyphrases, for example, [cat behavior], [robot vacuum cleaner], or [real home agent], odds are high you won't rank for that term.

On-page SEO is an effective approach in ranking. And keyword analysis comes first in the respective field. All you need to do is to create a good file comprising all the effective keywords and then write your article on those keywords.
Then your task in not over here, you need to regularly update your content because google notices this approach. After that you can look for websites to have backlinks from them.

    Thanks!!

Getting ranked in the Search engine pages getting difficult day by day. As search engines changing their algorithm very frequently to deliver the best user-friendly result. There are certain points to note down before starting your SEO approach.

To start with check the keyword difficulty then after analyzing the keywords. And after that start creating engaging content around the keyword you like to rank, don't overuse the same keyword throughout. You can use the LSI keyword in place and attract more audience for your targeted keywords. Do not forget to optimize in a while to make them updated to the latest standard.

    Thank you!!

It's hard to rank a forum site because the content is thin! You need to have a lot of user engagement for google to start noticing your site.

Why would the content be thin? There is no law that says forum owners must create thin content.
