blog traffic strategy

hi guys
does anyone use the strategy of setting up the same blog but on different platforms ie squidoo, blogger and wordpress and just posting the same blog entries and articles on all blogs.
If all the entries on the blog then link to the sales page for the product you are selling would this strategy eventually result in 3 times as much traffic?
For example i've got a blogger blog which generates about 50 visits a day - Not a lot i know but handy.
If i setup and create exactly the same blog or maybe with a little variation of titles and anchors will each blog get 50 visits a day?
Or will google recognize the 3 blogs as copies/ clones and lower the rankings so each one maybe ends up getting 10 -15 visits a day. Or maybe they disappear from rankings altogether?
I know some people will come back and say you have to change the content, but that kinda makes it unviable as you have to change content so dramatically for google to rate it as unique content.
You all know what i mean. Writing unique content and posting it once is hard enough.
Writing unique content then rewiting it all again is just mind numbing, there is nothing worse than totally rewriting content i'd rather just give up and go work burgerking ! :-(
Thanks for your thoughts guys.
Anyone tried incansoft blogbot yet? its a great idea but only if you can post with same content and google is happy with it. It seems to be specific to wordpress?

I see your concern here, too much work but too less result.

What I would suggest is, try to target different keywords in different web 2.0 properties, use these keywords to get different source of traffic.

If you are trying to post the same articles that target for the same keywords, you won't see much traffic increase.

    What I would normally do:

    1. Research and find decent searches but low competition keyword for each web 2.0 properties.

    2. Post article to these properties and backlink to it.

    3. Funnel those traffic back to your site.

No matter how complicated and tedious you see this strategy, it work! You just need to utilize outsourcing.

Writing a decently good article cost $5, 10 articles would cost you $50. Outsource link builder might cost a bit more, but you can do this yourself if you have time.

After all setup and backlinked, wait for 3 weeks and you should start seeing traffic flow into your site. You can easily scale this method up to 1,000 times with more keyword content!

The key is still keyword research, if you mastered this skill, traffic is in your hand.

    Well said kkchoon.

I think the key to what you said is to find the low competitive KWs (or long tailed) - you get enough of these low competitive KWs, you'll be getting a nice steady traffic coming in everyday.

Very true! Building an authority site is not hard, even if you don't use linkwheel for fast traffic, you can just keep on posting all long tail keywords articles, while just build tons of links to your main blog.

You will need links to inner page as well, but you don't need a lot per post, because you are targeting long tail keywords! When your site's authority get matured, you will start to see the traffic pouring in!

Give yourself to 6 months, commit to write every few days and keep doing SEO until you see the result. I once too too less time to learn, and jumping around with all kind of IM promotion method, that kill almost all my effort.

Until one day I settle down to learn SEO more deeply, I break the barrier and everything seems to be making sense!

Google picks up duplicate content like a mouse finds cheese.

There is no point in replicating your works in different places.

The best thing you can do is create unique content in 3 different places.

Stop trying to cut corners - add unique content in 3 places - or more.

These recomendations are excellent - many thanks guys - particularly kkchoon.
You all seem to indicate that several web 2.0 blogs in a link wheel is the way to go.
You also seem to indicate that the content has to be unique.
I think what i will do is write the original articles, then try and find an outsourcer with excellent english who can rewrite the articles 5 -10 times to around 35% uniqueness - which appears to be the google threshold and like you say target different long tail keywords on different blogs.
For over a year now i've felt that posting same content to hundreds of article sites is a dying strategy with extra links being wiped out quite quickly by google - this has to be a google slap?
But my attempts at rewriting leave me almost suicidal with boredom and brainache - so outsourcing has ot be the way forward.
My main problem with basic article spinners is that to actually sell my product i need amazing content that reads really well and with great authority.
If i post that i make sales.
      Anyways great ideas guys.
      what a forum!!

Google has implemented some kind of filter to ignore same article with same links, not sure how it works, but every time I syndicate the same articles to hundreds of sites, it work but doesn't really help much in higher competition keywords.

I agree outsourcing is the way to go, leave the writing work to the professional, and get more done faster!

If I were you, beside building link wheel, I will also post many long tail keywords article to my blog, all these add up will give you extremely well traffic!

        Hope to see you success!

Sorry to hijack this thread. i really need to find a detailed review of Blogbot. i've been trying to look for people who have it to find out:
    a) Which sort of websites does it let you manage blogs on? For example Bloghatter(also by a warrior member) allows you to manage blogger blogs.
    b) Does it do Account creation?

If anyone's using it.. Id love to know how well it works.
I'm looking for something that willl help me manage my "feeder blogs" on websites such as wordpress.com and Vox.com
