It is much easier to rank on Google using a platform with a high domain authority. For example, it is much easier to rank a Facebook page than it ever will be ranking your own website. So you might want to optimize your Facebook Page with the keyword that you want to rank for and name all the pictures and content on the page with the keyword that you want to rank for. Than just put a link to your main website so you can get traffic this way. Your Facebook page will also serve as a backlink although I believe it's a no-follow link. Hope this helps! Cheers!

      Why should they block? It's just a page name with content. You could always call it "make money online" resource page or something and add value. You can also officially put your link on the Facebook page, so l don't see where it flouts the rules.

    This is completely wrong. It is not easier to rank a Facebook page than your own website. Your new Facebook page has the same authority as a new website.

    Authority passes through links and a Facebook page isn't being linked to from Facebook's root domain. It gets no benefit from the domain.

    Also, you should never try building your business on a platform you do not own. You can supplement it with a Facebook page, a TikTok following, a YouTube channel, or whatever else you want, but your primary focus should really be on your own website in most cases. The exception would be people like YouTube content creators.

    every new url is just like a new website, and you can't just create something and outrank other quality websites. Google is way smarter than we can think, these are social websites and if the search query will have a social answer in its intent then there might be the case that your facebook page will rank.

      I think people are saying that a new page on a high DA site has little value in terms of passing SEO juice.


      Unless it's got a link from a page on that high DA site that has good / powerful links.


      Why are people using DA when talking about backlinks? Two reasons: they do not know how SEO works or they sell backlinks and get a higher price for backlinks from high DA pages than they do from low DA pages (from the people who do not have a clue).

    Even so in the end - these days its about the quality of the content you are putting out there in relation to the focus of your site. I think you are sorely mistaken if you think throwing one Facebook page pointing to your site is going to move the needle. You are also leaving out the part about needing to get followers and grow that page so it even has some sort of relevance on Facebook itself - which would need to happen before Google gave it any sort of relevance in search results.
