I bought amaNiche because it was cheaper. I have been having some issues with it, and support has been quick to let me know they got my message, but as of now, I don't have the problem fully resolved.

I do like the look of the software, and got it for $39, so the price was great. It just appears that you cannot change the posts, and if you can, they can't seem to tell me how......ReviewAzon looked great, but I went with price...can't say as of yet if that was a good choice!

Well, I just bought Amaniche because they said I could use it with Amazon Japan, but it does not work with Amazon Japan so so far I'm not happy.

I tried it with Amazon USA and it worked fine and looked good.

Can't speak to AmaNiche as I don't have it, but I do have ReviewAZON.

It's a great plugin and it has worked well for me. I still haven't made much money from the sites, but the plugin is doing its job.

I have had a couple of weird technical issues, but Brad has been very quick to help with anything like that in the ReviewAZON forums. Support has been very good.

Again, I don't know about AmaNiche, but with ReviewAZON, you can create a custom field for your own text. I think the custom field is actually a function of WordPress, but you can edit the ReviewAZON template and put your custom field before or after the description pulled from Amazon.

This allows you to add your own text before and/or after the data pulled from Amazon.

ReviewAZON currently also allows you to cache product descriptions, so you can write your own if you don't like Amazon's. I don't know if AmaNiche offers that feature. I'm also not sure if it will stay in ReviewAZON, as Brad just mentioned that the caching sometimes causes problems.

However, with AmaNiche, you may be able to do what I mentioned earlier. If you can edit the template (add, change, or remove data fields pulled in from Amazon), then you can probably put a custom field in the template. Then you can create and populate that custom field in the WordPress create post screen.

I hope that makes sense. Not always easy to explain with text only.

I use Amaniche on several of my sites and it has done a great job doing what it says it can do. It can, however, be greatly improved (i.e. a few weird bugs and some much needed expanded options). Unfortunately, there's not much support behind it other than the one developer who isn't the fastest to respond to questions and concerns.

          I haven't used eviewAZON so I can't compare.

Thanks for the replies!! I eventually went with reviewAZON and I really like it - sure makes the process a whole lot faster, and if you're willing to get in and do a bit of messing with the template files it's extremely customizeable.

I reviewed the AmaNiche site and have some questions.

How many sites can I install this on? Is there a limit for the $47 price?

Ultratechinc mentioned he purchased a developer license. I don't see that mentioned on the site. What is the developer license and how much does it cost?

Your affiliate page makes mention of a $198 upsell/upgrade.
Can you explain in more detail what this is?

    Thanks

      Hi Jeff,

No limits on the number of sites you put it on. The price for warriors is $37 btw see my sig for the wso

The $198 upsell is a service where we build the site like for instance that sailingwatch with these options
      - top level domain name
      - ecommerce template
      - all our plugins (amaniche, wp bestsellers, secret seo, baypress)
      - niche research
      - installing and configuring the site
      - hosting for 6 months
      - at least 100 backlinks (do follow blogs, rss directories and social bookmarks)

Basicly it's a package for people that either lack the time to do it all themselfs or the knowledge and do want a good looking affiliate site fast.

The developer licence is not sold anymore. It's something we offered in the first release to 10 persons. It was a first come first serve basis. After that we didn't and don't offer a developer licence. You can use it on as many sites of your own but if you sell the site you will have to pull off the plugin and let the new owner know that if they want the functionality of that they will need to buy a licence themselfs. You can use your affiliate link for that which means you get 50% commission and you can even say you pay the comission to your customer if you want.

With ReviewAZON you have the ability to create full blown websites and appears to be more customizable, at least the documentation and forum makes it easier to get the information. It's easier to SEO.

AmaNiche just had an upgrade and it's added some really good features that ReviewAzon doesn't have, but unless I'm mistaken it doesn't create a sitemap for the pages. In other words while you can create a custom menu in the sidebar they don't show up as pages on your site. Although it does allow you to add products and drip feed them a lot faster when creating products in bulk.

One downside for me at least with AmaNiche is unless I'm mistaken you can't add it to specific pages or posts like ReviewAZON.

          Hi Alan,

Not sure what you mean with "don't show up as pages" as each product is a post. a real wordpress post that is in your rss feed and yes there is not a build in sitemap but there are real good plugins for wordpress that can create sitemaps for you. I use DD Sitemap Sitemap Generator Plugin for Wordpress Dagon Design and the Google XML sitemap plugin from Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator for WordPress

The reason why I make it posts is that to me it's important that the site has the SEO benefits of the RSS feeds and there are plugins that create pages instead of posts and out of the box wordpress will not display pages in your rss feed so I made sure to have it as posts.

Adding content to a product post is no problem. But it's indeed backwards from what you mean. you mean an exsisting post and add a product to that. That will be added in the next update.

            Hi Edwin

I meant pages and posts. But it seems to be a Wordpress problem as the sitemap doesn't even work in the default settings with all the plugins turned off, even regular pages and posts don't show up. My mistake. Anyway I'll reinstall Wordpress.

I had a follow up question about sitemaps. You mentioned you use two different plugins. I presently use just the Google XML Sitemap plugin. Is the other one you mentioned designed for users to navigate as opposed to for search engine submissions (to their webmaster tools)?

            Thanks

              Hi Jeff

Yes that is right the DD Sitemap is creating a sitemap for vistors and if the plugin is activated all you do is create a wordpress page and insert 1 line of code.

If you activate the plugin all you need to do is create a page and in it have this as content

                  Code:
                  <!-- ddsitemapgen -->
That is all you need and the plugin will create a sitemap and display it for you
