Keyword Search Volume

I'm using Semrush and Google KWD planner for search volume data. But there's a discrepancy across all primary keywords on both. And if i'm comparing with Ahref, it's getting mismatched too. Some of the keywords have the same search volume. Which is the best tool or method to check the correct search volume data.

All of them are good. Google has all the info directly. If you open an AdWords account, it will tell you exactly what search volume exists (as oppesed to 10-100, 0-10).

You are falling in the same trap as many: need to know exact search numbers.

    You do not.

You need to have a good strategy in place.

Then you need to look for keyword volume trend (does not matter what tool). You want something that's consistent. If you come across a keyword that has 700 searches in March and 10 in April, May, June, and 270 in July, you might want to chuck that to trends or error and discount.

Start with low search keywords. For a lot of them you get to be #1 just for having the keyword in Title, subtitle and first paragraph.

And, I swear to you, getting 3 visitors from a 10-search keyword a month is nothing, but getting the same number of visitors from 500 keywords translates into real money.

Your strategy should be to go after all the little-volumed keywords, then, when you're done with them, move up to keywords with more volume.

Why? Once you've got tons of pages ranking for tons of 10/month keywords, it will be easier to rank the 100/month ones. When you have a lot of those ranking, it will be easier to rank the 1000/month ones.

And, though it takes a lot of content, it ends up being faster and/or cheaper than going from the start for the big keywords. Because you'll be getting traffic from low keywords (and, if your site converts, sales) to pay for reaching the big keywords.

Google KWD planner is always best. You also can try KW finder. You will get the best result for sure. Ahref is also good. But I will suggest you to use KW finder once.

so it's better to do it manually to get the most accurate data.

What makes it the best? What else have you used and how is SemRush better than those?

If I'm doing this Ahref tool, I need to make sure my keyword is correct.

I think when measuring long-tail keyword terms search volume, the volume of keyword searches is relatively uniform. As stated they all are good. I frequently compare between GKP, Ahrefs, and SpyFu to determine what keywords to shoot for. But i still hear from some marketers that keyword research tools shouldn't even be used.

You can find many free and paid tools for keyword research but I always recommend Keyword Planner Tool. Because It's one of the best and most Authentic free tool of Google. If you will go to other tools like Ahref, UberSuggest, or Keyword finder, They are paid and the free version of these tools not recommended.
