Case studies - link value!!!!!!

Guys,

Thought it would be interesting to do a link value thread.

Time and time again, I hear people say how links from duplicate articles do not count much if at all.... Well the first case study can confirm this is wrong.

I done some article marketing for some domains way back - we are talking a good 4/5 months ago and the other day I decided to check what links were showing in Google webmaster tools.... Now for each article I can confirm that only one link was showing per article, however the interesting thing is, when I dont an exact title search in quotes in Google, there were numerous entries indexed and still ranking.... Say around 20 out of the top 60 sites that I submitted to and got approved to. Furthermore, there were multiple versions of the article listed in Yahoo site explorer.

As these links are indexed, they are obviously giving me some benefit.... I am not fussed that they are all not listed in Google webmaster tools as webmaster tools specifically states 'we show a sample of links' and to me it makes sense to only show one link from one article and not to show them all.

So, I believe that it is worth while submitting the same article to multiple directories, however I believe that it is only of worth to the directories which do have a reasonable PR - as these were the only directories where the articles were still showing.

Now, I invite other people to send in case studies blowing misconceptions out of the water and the value/non value of links etc.

To kick off next, I thought it would be interesting for someone to do a similar case study after using a service like UAW or Magic article rewriter or another spinned article service etc - to be fair, it would be great for some examples at least a couple of months old.

Interesting thread! Maybe for a next study you could do a nofollow test? Maybe put a site up and link only from 1 good nofollow source and see what bots do?

Problem is, does these articles really count as 1 link each? or all as 1 link + a bit more??

If you just submit 1 article, the same article to all authority domain, does these articles all give you authority link power? If so, that's great! I don't have to spin article for backlinks anymore!

Yes, true. The most accurate way to track is the keyword ranking for your content.

Proof again the domain power counts, but not relevancy. If relevancy do count, low PR directories should show and not high PR.

it is totally wastage of time if you link your website with nofollow tag, but you will recieve traffic but no search engine raking
