It's time to rely more on visual content

Humans are, by nature, visual creatures. I mean, I'd personally prefer reading books with illustrations and stuff because they stimulate my mind.

And for all the talk over the last several months about how AI has massively shifted the way we create content, visual content is in demand. After all, visual content marketing can help simplify content.

What do you think? Chime in.

I'm just the opposite - I read a LOT and prefer the images the words and my mind creates while reading - it is the story in the book that stimulates my mind.

Text mainly with a smattering of visuals for me.

People can do well with either. It depends on how persuasive their message and words and presentation are. Neither visuals nor text is dead even though they have been saying for years now that video is a must and text is so prehistoric times. Amazon makes millions off of text only books, for example. Why would that be the case if ya gotta have video or people won't listen or watch or buy?

Everybody's different and I suspect that the younger generation prefers videos. Myself, I prefer text - especially text with illustrations - for many things that I am already somewhat familiar with.

Far too much time is wasted watching videos where you keep saying to yourself, "I already know that ... get to something I don't know."

With text, I can skip all of the redundant, superfluous junk and go straight to the new stuff I want to know about.

It's really case-dependent; though, if it is a visual, "how do I do that" problem and a person has no clue to begin with, video is certainly the only way to go.

I have been using A.I. to generate images and videos, and I'm having fun doing it too.

The popularity of TikTok and YouTube proves that the younger generation and others prefer to watch videos.

Many of them make their buying decisions based on what they see in videos.

I don't think they like to read, not because they can't but because they don't want to spend their time reading.

That's all well and good if you are selling lower priced goods that young people like. If not, it is wise to remember that older people have far more money than the younger generation so you need to cater your marketing and website pages toward the generation that is most apt to have the money and inclination to buy from you.

I agree 100%. Match the message format to the target market you're selling to.

I think it's harder to get younger people to read a long text. Since their attention short is become shorter, because platform like tiktok, x, etc...

I don't know if it's a good thing or not. But for sure visual content could be the cure to explain hard things, that normally would take longer text

Personally, I like long reading too, especially books, but I can see AI helping us a lot too, especially on a professional level.
It's up to each person to see their own limits when it comes to using this or that tool.

Honestly, I think there are many young people today who cannot read well enough to follow written ad copy. Two young women (early 20's) that I know well and know they are smart people....cannot tell time unless the clock is digital. They have no clue about hour/minute/second 'hands'. They also do not write (at all) in cursive.

If it's not on video - they won't bother with it.

I am aware that most of the youngsters cannot read an analog
clock, and that the kids today don't know how to write by hand.

There was an article about a father being shocked that his
12 year old child could not write because all they ever did was
      text or use a keyboard.

I also read where some lady said that cashiers at the store did
not know that four quarters make a dollar.

I bought some Febreze air effects spray where the cashier gave
me a 75% discount because the label said it reduces allergens
by 75%. It was part of a larger purchase and I did not notice
what happened until later, or I would have correct her.

I have been on other forums and Discord where they will tell
you they do not read books because they don't have time, and
if they need to learn something, they want other people to tell
them what to do about simple things in life, these aren't even
      major conundrums.

And the worst of it is that they (young people) don't think they
need to learn things like facts because they can just look it up
on the internet, so it's scary to think what will happen to them
if they are ever stranded somewhere without access or if the
internet goes down for an extended period of time.

Anyway, I am glad that I am not alone in my sentiments about
the laziness of people these days.

And BTW I hope that all is well with you.

The scary thing to me is that more and more, it seems younger people only want to know the "what" or "how" and not the "why". "What" and "how" only solve one problem and often are not remembered once the problem at hand is solved. "Why" is remembered forever and often applies to a variety of problems in the future.

It is very cool that you read a lot, but I have repeatedly encountered people who have dyslexia. And I had the same problem, because it didn't stimulate my mind at all. I corrected it with the help of medicine, this site helped me https://www.canadapharmacy.com/ I consider this my great success) However, I believe that reading books will always be relevant.

It vary person to person preference of learning or understanding by reading or visualizing but I think it will simplify content marketing and also simplifies communication.
